The organizers of the International Design Award (IDA) set a high priority on the protection of personal data. All IDA activities are carried out in compliance with applicable law on the protection of personal data and data security. Personal data

When you register for the International Design Award you supply certain items of personal data to the IDA organizers. Personal data is information regarding your identity (eg, name, address, telephone number or e-mail address). By registering, you consent to the storage and use of your personal data as described in this statement. Use and limitations on use

The IDA organizers use the personal data you supply only for the purposes of the International Design Award. They will neither pass on your personal data to third parties nor market them in any other manner. Other companies in the Hettich or REHAU groups are not third parties in the sense of this statement. Employees of the organizing company groups are obliged to maintain confidentiality.

Automatically collected, non-personal data

When you access our IDA portal, general information not related to you personally is automatically captured (ie, without your registering). This information includes data on the Internet browser, operating system and website domain name you are using, the number of visits to our website, average time spent on the website, the pages called up. We use this information only to improve the attractiveness, content and functionality of our IDA portal.

This website uses etracker technology ( to collect visitor behavior data. The data is collected anonymously to be used for marketing and optimization purposes. All visitor data is saved using an anonymous user ID and can be used to aggregate a usage profile. Cookies may be used for this purpose. Cookies are small text files that are stored in the visitor’s local browser cache. Using such cookies it is possible to recognize the visitor’s browser. The data collected via etracker technology will not be used to determine the personal identity of the website visitor or compiled with personal data pertaining to the user of the pseudonym unless agreed to separately by the person concerned. The IDA organizers take the necessary technical and organizational steps to protect your personal data against falsification, access by unauthorized third parties, loss, destruction or tampering.

The contents are freely available only for access via the Internet for the purpose intended and may not be copied, passed on, re-used, transferred, stored, altered, disseminated or otherwise used without our prior written approval. The IDA portal may also include content subject to the copyright of the parties supplying the content. Brand names, company logos, product descriptions or images of products appearing on the IDA portal are protected on behalf of the IDA organizers and may therefore not be used by others for their own purposes or in any other way.

All the contents of our IDA portal pages are carefully checked. The organizers have taken great care to ensure that the IDA portal is free of viruses, nonetheless they do not guarantee that it is free of viruses. 5. Applicable law, jurisdiction
In visiting our Internet pages, you declare that you agree to the exclusive applicability of German law and renounce the UN's convention on the sale of goods (CISG) in respect of disputes of any kind between you and Hettich. The place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Bünde, Germany.
